SRINAGAR: An alleged Rohingya conspirator among the four individuals has been apprehended in the Dharglon area of the Poonch district.

According to an official, Mohd Numaan, a Rohingya residing in the village of Dhargloon since 2013, was arrested. Numaan, son of Muhib Ullah, originally from Tang Bazar Tehsil, Tang Bazar, District Bothi Dang State Arkaan Myanmar (Burma), had married Farzana Kosser, daughter of Nazir Ahmed Gujjar, a resident of Dhargloon, in 2016.

The official disclosed that Muhib Ullah, in collaboration with his father-in-law Nazir Ahmed, along with two others, Waseem Akram and Mohd Sayaf, had conspired to create a fake Aadhar card and ration card.

“A case under FIR number 117/2023 U/S 120-B, 420, 465, 468, 471, 109 IPC was registered at PS Gursai, and during the investigation, Mohd Numaan, son of Muhib Ullah, resident of Myanmar, was arrested on 30/11/2023 and is presently in Judicial custody,” the official stated.

Continuing the investigation, a house search of Nazir Ahmed’s residence was conducted in the presence of the Executive magistrate. Subsequently, Nazir Ahmed, along with Mohd Sayaf and Waseem Akram, all residents of Dhargloon, were arrested in connection with the case.

The official confirmed that four individuals have been arrested thus far, with ongoing investigations.
