Route Plan Finalized For Sheikh’s Birth Anniversary

According to Superintendent of Police, Traffic City, Srinagar, in connection with Birth anniversary of National Conference founder Late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah falling on December 05, 2013, route plan for participants coming from different destinations to graveyard of Sheikh Abdullah has been finalized.

The vehicles carrying participants from Lal Chowk/ Budgam to Sheikh Mazaar Dargah (Central Kashmir) shall adopt following routes upto Sir Syed Kashmir University.

Lal Chowk – SRTC bridge – Ikhwan crossing – Khayam Chowk-Khanyar-Rainawari-Saida Kadal–Ashai Bagh. These vehicles shall be parked in nit parking.

Vehicles carrying participants of North Kashmir i.e Baramulla-Kupwara-Handwara-Bandipora shall adopt Bemina Bye Pass–Tatto Ground–Qamarwari-Cement Bridge –Noor Bagh Sekidafar–Hawal-Alamgari Bazar-Lal Bazaar-Sir Syed Gate Kashmir University. These vehicles shall be parked in the temporary parking in Kashmir University.

Vehicles carrying participants from South Kashmir i.e. district Iskamabad, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama shall adopt the Pantha Chowk-Sonwar Bazar-Gupkar-Nishat-Foreshore and Habbak. These vehicles shall be parked in Naseem Bagh parking area.

Vehicles carrying participants from Ganderbal-Kangan shall adopt the Ganderbal-Zakoora and Pandach route. These vehicles shall also be parked in Naseem Bagh parking area.

On return all vehicles carrying participants shall adopt NIT–Aishahi Bagh crossing-Rainawari-Khalifapora-Nowpora bridge-Khayam Chowk (Right)-Ikhwan Crossing-SRTC crossing.

North bound vehicles shall take left turn at SRTC crossing along Moulana Azad bridge Dalgate towards Pantha Chowk. However the vehicles bound for North Kashmir will be diverted at Khalifapora towards Peer Dastigeer Sahib Khanyar-Sumkachbal-Police Station Khanyar-Nalamar road-Qamarwari for their respective destinations.

Vehicles carrying people from Harwan-Islamabad-Pulwama and other areas shall adopt Dal Fore Shore Road. People arriving from Kangan and Ganderbal areas shall deboard near Habbak and take the same route back.
