J&K government will be clearing all its liabilities by the end of this fiscal, according to Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu. J&K has Rs 3200 crore of liabilities by now.
Dr Drabu told news gatherer KNS that various other liabilities have already been taken care of.
“In power sector the power purchase liability inherited by this government were around Rs 7500 crore of which Rs 4000 crore stabds cleared in the last one and half years and the remaining Rs 3500 crore will be cleared by December 2016,” Drabu was quoted saying.
Besides, he said R&B department liability of Rs 600 crore would also be released latest by March ending 2017.
