Police Sunday said that one alleged braid chopping incident at Bohrikadaln doing rounds since the morning turned out to be a prank played by some miscreants to create the law & order problem.
“Some miscreants blocked road near Bohrikadal and started pelting stones on police party. They were alleging that braid chopping has occurred in the localily,” said spokesman and added that police dispersed the mob and tried to ascertain the facts regarding the incident.
“Few elders of the locality on conditions of anonymity revealed to police that no braid chopping took place and the incident seems to be a part of the conspiracy hatched by some miscreants to breach the of law and order,” spokesman said
An FIR has been lodged against rumour mongers and other miscreants in Police Station M.R. Gunj under relevant sections of penal code
