Russian Plane Carrying Nearly 50 Passengers Goes Missing

   

SRINAGAR: A Russian plane carrying nearly 50 passengers on board has gone missing in Amur region of eastern Russia.

“An-24 aircraft, operated by the Siberia-based Angara airline, disappeared from radar while approaching its destination, the town of Tynda in the Amur region,” news agency Reuters reported while quoting local emergency ministry.

There were over 43 passengers, including five children, and six crew members on board, it added.

Meanwhile, all necessary forces and means have been deployed to search for the plane.
