Jammu region head of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) and National Front chairperson, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Friday said the Kashmir dispute is a Himalayan reality and New Delhi cannot bypass it for much of the time and “it will have to surrender before great sacrifices offered by the people of Kashmir”.
Khan was addressing a public rally after Friday prayers in Wagoora Chowk, in Baramulla district, a party statement said this evening.
“The on-going struggle is neither for incentives nor any special status within the framework of the Indian constitution but a freedom movement of those who believe in freedom, justice, equality and brotherhood,” he said.
“No power on earth can deny the fact that Kashmiri people are yet to decide their political future,” Nayeem Khan said. “New Delhi cannot deceive the international community for long.”
Nayeem said that the pressure from all corners is “slowly and gradually mounting on India and the day is not far when New Delhi will accept all the facts regarding Kashmir dispute”.
“How can a dispute be ignored which is backed by UN resolutions and international commitments,” Khan added. “The sacrifices rendered by the people of Kashmir have made this dispute very valuable and the blood of our martyrs is screaming loud and clear that there can only be one compensation to their sacrifices and that is complete freedom from India.”
While lashing out at the government for creating VDCs, Nayeem said, “these VDCs have made the lives of the Jammu Muslims miserable.”
