SRINAGAR
A day after National Conference leader Ali Muhammad Sagar claimed that employees leadership are backed by a particular political party, Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) Chairman, Abdul Qayoom Wani said that Sagar has no right to issue decree on part of the government as he is not the absolute authority.
Wani told a local news agency, CNS that government employees are not the supporters of PDP but apolitical. “Ali Muhammad Sagar was the part of the meeting when agreement was reached out between government and employees and now he and his government is backtracking,” he said.
He said that Sagar is trying to mislead common people by terming the employees as the supporters of PDP. “We fought for our rights even when PDP was ruling the state. It is absurd to claim that JCC leadership are backed by a particular political party,” Wani said.
He said that Sagar is spewing venom against employees and he is responsible for the differences that have arisen between employees and the state government.
“We condemn the government’s tyrannical approach against its employees as our demands are genuine and we will not be cowed down by any pressure tactic. Government will have to meet all our pending demands without any disinclination,” Wani said.
