Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Ali Mohammad Sagar Friday exhorted upon officers to speed up the pace of developmental projects being executed in city besides perform duties with dedication, enthusiasm and sense of responsibility.
Sagar enjoined upon officers to come up to the expectations of public and be available to them for redressing their grievances ensuring maximum benefits to the people so that they do not suffer for want of basic amenities. He said that government is committed for the welfare and prosperity of the people besides accomplishing their better economic status.
This was stated by the Minister while addressing a meeting convened to review the pace of various developmental works being executed on various projects especially the reconstruction of Shrine of Hazrat Dastigeer Sahib RA, and renovation of Ziyarat Hazrat Naqasband Sahib RA, Badshah Tomb, beautification of Jamia Masjid, Jehlem river banks, Malkhah and Cable Car of Makhdoom Sahib and construction of Zaina Kadal bridge,,
Exhorting upon the district administration to curb black marketing and profiteering, Sagar directed for intensifying market checking. He also asked for ensuring cleanliness and maintaining proper sanitation in the City besides controlling dog menace in the city.
While emphasizing for better medicare facilities for the people, the Minister asked the concerned officers to ensure quality medicines for the patients and took strong note of the marketing of spurious drugs.
Sagar asked for time bound execution of developmental projects and directed for speedy land acquisition for these projects besides compensation and rehabilitation of the affected people.
The Minister directed district administration to improve the traffic signal system and remove the encroachments on road sides for smooth ply of traffic.
Sagar directed officers of SMC and PDD to install and make all street lights functional on priority basis. He said that Traffic Police may also made efforts to ensure smooth functioning of traffic lights before Darbar Move.
