The Select Committee on “The Kashmiri Hindu Shrines and Religious Places (Management and Regulation) Bill, 2009 (L.A Bill No. 11 of 2009) held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Mir Saifullah Monday.MIR SAIF ULLAHA-9

As per a statement the Committee, with its members Prof  Chaman Lal Gupta, Dr Mustafa Kamal, Abdul Rehman Veeri and Ashwani Kumar Sharma has directed all the DDCs of Kashmir Province to furnish detailed information with regard to the present management of these shrines and religious places.

The Committee has also directed the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to put the entire information on the website for seeking objections/suggestions from the stakeholders within a period of 10 days.

Earlier, the DDCs of Srinagar, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Islamabad and Budgam briefed the Committee about the shrines and religious places of Kashmiri Pandits in their respective districts, reads the statement.

Secretary Law, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Secretary Legislative Assembly Mohammad Ramzan, and other officers of the Revenue and Assembly Secretariat also attended the meeting.
