People’s Conference (S) chairperson and MLA Handwara, Sajad Gani Lone is in Union capital these days.
Lone, who is treating his left eye in a New Delhi hospital, recently submitted his resignation to right wing BJP high command, however, no development has been reported on it, yet.
Sajad was expected to fly to Pakistan to see his ailing father-in-law, Amanullah Khan. Khan is JKLF co-founder. He has not been keeping well and is admitted in a PaK hospital.
Sajad, who is in a catch 22 situation, has abandoned his Pakistan visit, a PC member said. “He is consulting doctor to treat his eye,” he said.
After winning two seats in state assembly, Sajad supported BJP and was made a minister in late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed headed PDP-BJP government. He is not happy, again, with his new portfolio in Mehbooba Mufti led government.
He submitted resignation a day after he was administered oath of office and secrecy for Social Welfare and ARI Trainings ministry. And the next day, he flew to New Delhi.
“Asma Khan is expected to visit her father and the preparations are going-on,” the PC member added.
