SRINAGAR: Minister for Health and Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education and Social Welfare Sakeena Itoo on Thursday inaugurated healthcare facilities and laid foundation stones for education-related infrastructure projects during her visit to Beerwah constituency in Budgam district.
She inaugurated Laparoscopy Units at Sub-District Hospital Magam and Sub-District Hospital Beerwah. She also laid foundation stones for an Administrative Block at Government Degree College Magam, an auditorium at Government Degree College Beerwah, and a new building for Government High School Rathsun.
The projects are aimed at strengthening healthcare services and expanding educational infrastructure in the constituency, according to officials.
The Minister was accompanied by MLA Beerwah Shafi Ahmad Wani, senior officers of the Health and Medical Education Department, School Education Department, Higher Education Department and district administration.
During the visit, Sakeena Itoo met public delegations, civil society members and youth groups and reviewed public grievances. She directed officials to address issues and ensure timely resolution.
MLA Beerwah Shafi Ahmad Wani thanked the Minister for initiating development projects in the constituency and said the works would benefit local residents.
