At CHC Gurez, Itoor reviewed the medical services available, inspected wards and medical units, and spoke with patients and their attendants. She emphasised the importance of high-quality healthcare, especially given the area’s remote location. Itoo instructed the medical staff to maintain a buffer stock of medicines and life-saving equipment, ensuring readiness for the upcoming winter. She assured them of her support and directed them to communicate any urgent requirements directly to her office.

At GDC Gurez and GHSS Dawar, Itoo engaged with the administration, faculty, and students to assess the quality of education. She urged the institutions to focus on delivering education that aligns with the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Itoo also recommended organising counseling sessions to better prepare students for the challenges of the modern world.

Later, Itoo chaired a meeting with senior officers of the sub-divisional administration, where she reviewed ongoing infrastructure projects. She stressed the need to expedite work on essential projects before winter sets in, directing the mobilisation of manpower and machinery to ensure timely completion. Itoo also took stock of essential commodities, instructing officers to secure enough supplies of cooking gas and other necessities to avoid shortages during the winter months.

The Minister further called on health officials to store sufficient medical supplies to prevent emergencies due to inclement weather and advised them to plan chopper services for both general public transport and medical emergencies during the winter.

Nazir Ahmad Khan (Gurezi), Member of the Legislative Assembly for Gurez, and other senior officials, including the Director of School Education Kashmir, accompanied the Minister on her visit.
