One civilian was injured when suspected militants fired some gunshots on Army convoy near Sanat Nagar area of the city on Saturday.
Sources said the two motorcycle born suspected militants opened firing when an Army convoy was passing on the highway.
The army men retaliated and in the cross firing one civilian was injured who has been hospitalized.
Eyewitnesses told KL that two motorcycle borne youth opened fire on army convoy and later fled the area.
A large contingent of police and forces has cordoned off the area and the search operation was on when the reports last came in.
