After 13 people, including an Army officer and three militants, were killed in twin attacks in Kathua and Samba districts, a group of suspects was Saturday spotted in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“A group of suspects was noticed by the locals in a remote village of Dayalachak area and they informed the police following which police parties and army troops rushed to the spot,” a police official said.

He said the searches have been intensified in the area, adding that no contact has been established with the suspects  yet but searches are in progress.

Jammu Pathankot Highway has been closed for traffic due to ongoing search operation.

Three militants, two civilians, four army personnel, including an officer and four policemen, were killed in twin militant attacks on Thursday in Kathua and Samba districts.
