The family of injured Pakistani prisoner, Sanaullah Haq, arrived at the Wagah border on Tuesday as he continues to fight for his life at a hospital in Chandigarh. He was attacked by an Ex-army man, now a prisoner, at Kotbalwal jail in Jammu.

As per a Delhi based wire agency, the doctors attending Sanaullah have said that his condition has worsened.

As per reports the 59-year-old continues to be in deep coma. His family is hoping to visit him in hospital in Chandigarh. Two of them have arrived at the Wagah border after Indian visas were issued.

Sanaullah’s brother, Mohammad Shahzad, has said, “We have come to meet our brother. We want to request the Indian government to allow us to take him back.”

Pakistani High Commissioner Salman Bashir also visited Sanaullah on Monday and demanded an impartial probe into the attack.

Pertinently, the Superintendent of the jail Rajni Sehgal has been suspended after the incident took place.
