SRINAGAR: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has suspended four Umrah companies and taken regulatory action against four external agents for accommodating pilgrims in unlicensed facilities.

The ministry announced the action in a post on X, stating that the companies had been referred to the Committee for Reviewing Pilgrims’ Complaints for investigation and the imposition of penalties in accordance with applicable regulations.
The violation cited by the ministry was the placement of Umrah pilgrims in accommodation facilities that did not hold the required licence.
