SRINAGAR: State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the recruitment of 173 Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) positions across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Union Territories (UTs). The vacancies are spread across various categories, including General, SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability). The total number of vacancies in Jammu & Kashmir is 141, while Ladakh has 32 vacancies.
For Jammu Kashmir, the 141 vacancies are divided as follows: 63 positions are for the General category, 15 for Scheduled Castes (SC), 38 for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 14 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 11 for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD). The PwBD category is further subdivided with 1 position for Visually Impaired and 1 for Hearing Impaired candidates. Additionally, 14 vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen, with 2 of these also designated for Disability Ex-Servicemen.
In Ladakh, the 32 vacancies are distributed as 16 for the General category, 3 for SC, 8 for ST, 3 for OBC, and 2 for PwBD, which includes 1 position for hearing-impaired candidates. Ladakh also has 3 vacancies for Ex-Servicemen and 1 for Disability Ex-Servicemen.
Candidates applying for these positions must possess proficiency in the local languages of the respective UTs. For Jammu and Kashmir, proficiency in Urdu or Hindi is required, while for Ladakh, proficiency in Urdu, Ladakhi, or Bhoti (Bodhi) is necessary.
