SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (JKPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in multiple areas of Kashmir on March 10 and 11 due to commissioning work on the NIFPES system of various transformers.
According to the Chief Engineer, JKPDCL Kashmir, the commissioning will affect 160 MVA, 220/132 KV transformer banks at multiple locations, including Wussan, Safapora, Kangan, USHP-I & II, Lal Bazar, BAMK, Hazratbal, Ellahibagh, Lar-Tullmulla, Ajar, Aloosa, Gurez, Zakura, Power House, and Nagbal feeders. The power supply will be disrupted from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on both days.
The affected areas include Wussan, Safapora, Kangan, Lal Bazar, BAMK, Hazratbal, Ellahibagh, Lar-Tullmulla, Ajar, Aloosa, Gurez, Zakura, Nagbal, and adjoining localities. Consumers in these areas are advised to make necessary arrangements in advance.
