Scheduled Power Shutdowns Announced Across Parts of Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across various districts later this month, affecting multiple towns and villages.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the 33 KV Wanpoh-Qazigund line will be shut down on November 22 and 24 disrupting power supply to Mirbazar, Vessu, Qazigund, Kund, Chowgam, Nipora, Akhran, Railway, and adjoining areas from 10.00 AM to 3.30 PM. The receiving stations at Mirbazar, Vessu, Qazigund, Chowgam, and Kund will remain off during this period.

Similarly, the 33 KV Khiram-Tap line will be out of service on November 24, 26, 29 and December 1, affecting power to Khiram, Mahind, and surrounding areas between 10.00 AM and 3.30 PM.

The 33 KV Kanipora-Pinjoora line will be shut down on November 22, 25 and 29 leaving Pinjoora and Chowdharygund receiving stations off and impacting supply to Pinjoora, Killora, Imamsahib, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagri, Pahno, and nearby areas from 10.00 AM to 3.30 PM.

Further, the 33 KV Wanganpora-Takenwari-BAMK line and 33 KV GIS Khanyar-BAMK line will undergo shutdowns on November 23, affecting Takanwari receiving station and power supply to Shanglipora, Sangam, Industries, Raja Colony, Zadibal, Botakadal, Gilli Kadal, BSNL Exchange, and adjoining areas from 12.30 PM to 2.30 PM.

Finally, the 33 KV Pampore-BK Pora line will be shut down on November 26, impacting BK Pora, Khanda, Summerbugh receiving stations and supply to BK Pora, Khanda, Checkpora, Chatergam, Kenihama, Summerbugh, Wagoora, Aribagh, and nearby areas from 10.00 AM to 3.30 PM.

KPDCL has urged residents and businesses in the affected areas to plan accordingly.
