SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across parts of Srinagar, Pulwama and Bandipora districts next week to facilitate maintenance works on key transmission lines.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, power supply to Rajbagh, Gogjibagh, Zero Bridge and adjoining areas in Srinagar will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on June 11 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Chashma Shahi–TRC Rajbagh line.
In south Kashmir, electricity supply to Awantipora, Jawbara, Barsoo, Malangpora, Padgampora, Beighpora, Midoora, Bohu and neighbouring areas will remain disrupted from 9 am to 2 pm on June 6 owing to the shutdown of the 33 kV Awantipora line.
Meanwhile, power supply to Wanpora, Dawar, NHPC, Tragbal, Peer Baba, Kanzalwan, Bagtore, Koragbal, Razdan Top and adjoining areas in the Gurez region will be affected from 10 am to 4 pm on June 8 and 9 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Potushai–Gurez line.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements during the scheduled outage periods.
