Authorities in Poonch on Friday closed schools near the Line of Control after the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy fire along the LoC, and targeted each other’s positions, reports said.
“Pakistani army today morning resorted to unprovoked mortar shelling and firing along targeting some Indian positions and civilian areas in Gulpur and Nakarkote sectors,” defence sources said. “The firing is going on intermittently.”
