Schools in Kashmir valley will open from April 2 and no decision to further close the schools in view of the incessant rains and flood like situation has been taken, government on Wednesday said.

Director School Education, Showkat Ahmad Beigh told KNS that schools in Kashmir valley shall resume functioning from Thursday, April 2 and so far no decision has been taken to further close schools in view of the bad weather conditions.

Pertinently, the state authorities on Sunday decided to close all educational institutes up to 8th class in view of incessant rains and a flood-like situation in Srinagar and adjoining areas.
