According to officials, the searches resumed at first light after being suspended overnight as part of the ongoing operation in the Meemandar area.

The two militants were first detected on July 3 through surveillance cameras in a dense orchard spread across the Meemandar belt, which comprises seven villages.

A joint team of the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has maintained a tight cordon around the area as the operation continues.

Officials said security forces had cleared four of the seven villages by Monday evening, while search operations were continuing in the remaining areas to locate the militants.

The operation remains underway, with security forces carrying out systematic searches across the cordoned villages.
