CRPF personnel cordoned the Alfarooq Colony Bemina, which is situated just opposite to the militant attack site and they are searching for two more militants.
The locals of Alfarooq colony told Kashmir Life on phone that the CRPF personnel are ransacking the households and beating the inmates. “The CRPF men stormed our colony and they are saying that two more militants are hiding in the area,” Tariq Ahmad, a resident of Alfarooq colony said. He added that the CRPF men are busy in doing accesses with the common civilians.
CRPF spokesman Sudhir Kumar told Kashmir Life that the forces have concluded the search operation in the area. He also refuted the allegations of excesses by the hands of CRPF men.
“The encounter has ended on the death of five forces personnel and two militants,” Sudhir Kumar said.
Two militants and five CRPF personnel died in the Bemina militant attack Wednesday morning. Ten others including seven CRPF men got injured in the incident.
Police sources said that the identification of the militants is being ascertained.
