SRINAGAR: Bear attacks have triggered concern among residents of Khonmoh on the outskirts of Srinagar after a 57-year-old woman was injured in a bear attack on Monday, less than 24 hours after a man was mauled by a bear in the area.
Quoting an official, the news agency KNO reported that the woman was attacked by a bear near her residence in Shah Mohalla area of Khonmoh this morning.
The injured woman was identified as Fatima, 57, wife of Mohammad Maqbool Wani, a resident of Shah Mohalla, Khonmoh.
The incident comes a day after a man was injured in a bear attack in the Shiv Dakri area of Khonmoh.
The back-to-back attacks within less than 24 hours have triggered concern among residents, with fears growing over the movement of bears in the area. (KNO)
