Amid coronavirus COVID-19 lockdown, the Jammu and Kashmir government said that second flight with over 169 students from Bangladesh will land in Srinagar on Tuesday afternoon.

Second flight carrying stranded students from Bangladesh to reach Srinagar today

“Welcome back. Second flight with 169 Medical students from Bangladesh to land today,” Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary tweeted.

Sources said that the special Air India flight on Tuesday from Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport and will reach Srinagar by afternoon.

The government said arrangements are being made for their arrival in an orderly manner while adhering to the norms of social distancing and undertaking testing so as to ensure that timely action is taken to prevent any spread of Covid-19 in J&K.

On May 8, a batch of 160 students studying in various professional colleges in Bangladesh arrived Srinagar.
