The elections for all five Lok Sabha seats in J&K will be conducted in five phases, with each phase covering one seat. Senior officer Rameshwar Kumar confirmed the completion of EVM randomization for the second phase.

To ensure transparency, randomization occurs in two rounds. The first round for the second phase is complete, with the second round scheduled before dispatching EVMs to polling stations.

The Election Commission of India has supplied the required EVMs to all 20 districts of J&K. In Jammu, EVMs are stored at the Government Polytechnic College, Bikram Chowk, under tight security.

Strong rooms in each district will dispatch EVMs to polling booths via GPS-equipped vehicles, ensuring secure transport. The election schedule begins on April 19th with the Kathua-Udhampur seat, followed by Jammu-Reasi on April 26th, Rajouri-Anantnag on May 7th, Srinagar on May 13th, and Baramulla on May 26th.

Various officials involved in election management, including flying squad members, Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers, and Nodal Officers, have undergone training by the ECI in preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
