After the recent revelations about former Army Chief’s Intelligence Unit working overtime in Kashmir, National Conference Tuesday said that killings during Summer Agitation were unconstitutional, illegal and unjustified and these killings were engineered by Army Unit on the directions of former Indian Army Chief General V.K.Singh.

Senior National Conference leader Ali Muhammad Sagar told CNS that all these killings were unjustified and we demand a thorough probe into this serious matter.

“I was the only Minister in the Government who echoed his voice against those killings and condemned the actions of CRPF personnel,” Sagar said adding that more than 100 youth were butchered in 2010 Summer Agitation.

“General V.K.Singh had a hidden agenda and we hold him responsible for the instability and disturbance in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. The General is responsible for the bloodshed and he has to answer why he engineered such innocent killing at the hands of Security Agencies,” Sagar told CNS.

While replying to a question, Sagar said that General V.K.Singh has no credibility and he has no right to level wild allegations against Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that CM was aware about the fact that Army was transferring money to some of his Cabinet Ministers.

“Omar Abdullah would have shown those Ministers door, if it would have been in his knowledge that some of the Ministers are being funded by Army. We demand that Union of India should probe the matter vigorously so that people would come to know about the facts,” Sagar said adding that General Singh should simply made the fact public and reveal the names of those Ministers whom he used to supply money.
