Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kaneez Fatima on Saturday inaugurated a free legal aid service at Tarkanjan Boniyar, Baramulla.
Later, a Legal Awareness Camp was also held in which the Kaneez Fatima who chief guest explained the significance of free Legal Aid Centers.
While addressing the event, Kaneez Fatima said both men and women have equal rights and awareness of rights of women particularly belonging to remote and inaccessible areas is the need of hour.
She impressed upon all to secure women’s rights by supporting them in all respects, may be domestic or any other violence against women.
Fatima also said the judiciary has always strived to extend the benefits of these courts to deserving people at their doorstep who cannot afford the expenses of mitigating their grievances.
