SRINAGAR: Security forces have launched a massive search operation in Khabbal village of Majalta, Udhampur district, following reports of suspected individuals entering a local residence.
Sources said that the intruders allegedly demanded food from the occupants and seized a mobile phone before fleeing.
Upon receiving the information, a joint team of security forces initiated a search operation in the area, which was still underway at the time of reporting.
This development follows an encounter in Kathua district on April 1, where security forces engaged with suspected militants.
Security forces continue to maintain a defensive posture while intensifying search operations in the Udhampur-Reasi region to ensure the safety of residents and apprehend the suspects. (JKNS)
