SRINAGAR: The School Education Department (SED) has given a final opportunity to its teaching and other staff to submit requisite documents for higher qualifications acquired during service through distance and online modes without obtaining prior permission.
The statement issued by the department reads that a one-time exemption had been extended to teaching and other staff who acquired higher qualifications during service through distance and online modes without obtaining prior permission from the administrative department.
“In this regard, committees have been constituted at the directorate level to verify the genuineness and equivalence of their postgraduate degrees acquired through distance and online modes during service. Eligible incumbents will be considered after the final outcome of the reports of the concerned committees,” the statement reads.
It further noted that the designated committees at the directorate level, tasked with verifying the genuineness and equivalence of the postgraduate degrees, have not yet submitted their reports and details of the remaining incumbents despite the considerable timeline extensions granted earlier.
“Therefore, the DSEK and DSEJ are requested to give a final chance to the incumbents. The timeline for submission of the required documents by such masters and teachers shall be a minimum of 21 days from the date the notice is published,” it added. (KNO)
