Sedative Drugs Recovered, Three Including Congress Worker Arrested

Police recovered sedative drugs from a shop and arrested three persons including a Pradesh congress worker involved in the illicit trade.

Dooru Police raided a readymade garments shop situated at Bazar Dooru in south Kashmir;s Islamabad district. During the search of the shop, police recovered 23 bottles of Rexcop, 12 strips of Proxvon and 440 gms of Charas.

“Farooq Ahmad Chopan son of Habibullah resident of Matygund Dooru, Sajad Ahmad Malik son of Abdullah Malik resident of Batagund Dooru and Ghulam Nabi Khan son of Ali Mohammad Khan resident of Arabal Dooru, Islamabad have been arrested for being involved in selling these drugs among the youth of the area,” police spokesman said.

Sources said that Sajad Ahmad Malik son of Abdullah Malik resident of Batagund Dooru is known as ‘Bite Grenade’ and he is a very active worker of Pradesh congress.

Police said that a case FIR No.40/2013 under section 8/20, 21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in this regard and the investigation has been started.
