SRINAGAR: Mother of senior photojournalist Farooq Javed Khan passed away on Sunday at SMHS hospital Srinagar after a brief illness.
A family source said she was not keeping well for some time and had undergone treatment at SMHS hospital Srinagar.
She will be buried at their ancestral graveyard in Bal Garden, Srinagar, said a family source.
Khan is a senior photojournalist working for international photo agency EPA and daily local newspaper Rising Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Kashmir Press Club expresses grief over the demise of mother of KPC Treasurer and senior photojournalist Farooq Javed Khan.
On behalf of the fraternity, KPC management extends sincere sympathies and solidarities with the bereaved.
“We pray Allah grant strength to bereaved family to bear the loss,” said the statement.
