SRINAGAR

Mirwaiz-Umar-FarooqA few days after when all major separatist leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai addressed people at Narbal where a tenth class young boy, Suhail Ahmad Sofi was killed in police firing on last Saturday morning, peacenik Mirwaiz Umar Friday said that all separatists have a common goal to “achieve freedom”.

“We are working for same goal though at different forums and in various factions,” he said.

“There is no difference between different Hurriyat factions. We are one because our aim is one no doubt we are working for the same goal of freedom in different parties,” Mirwaiz said while addressing a public meeting at Budgam, in central Kashmir.

Mirwaiz in his address lashed out at Peoples Democratic Party saying its “Self Rule” has proved hoax. “PDP is hand in glow with anti-Muslim parties like RSS.”

He alleged that RSS like parties are blackmailing Kashmir migrant Pandits who are welcome in their native places

Mirwaiz, however, cautioned against separate clusters and said they are not acceptable to the majority of Jammu and Kashmir.

Kashmir’s Chief cleric Mirwaiz was brought in a large procession from Jamia Masjid Budgam to the town Chowk amidst pro-freedom slogans.
