SRINAGAR: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Wednesday informed the parliament that a total of seven plots of land have been purchased in the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir, all of them in the Jammu division.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) was replying to queries raised in parliament including the status of purchase and sale of land in Jammu and Kashmir and whether any person who is not from this State can also purchase land there besides whether any person from outside has purchased land.

Nityanand Rai the Minister of State (MoS) in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) responded to the queries raised in the House.

In a written reply the MoS as per news agency KNO said that as per the information provided by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, a total of seven plots of land have been purchased by persons from outside the UT of Jammu and Kashmir
