Scores of vehicles and passengers are stranded on the Srinagar-Jammu highway as it remained closed for the vehicular traffic for the second consecutive day on Tuesday due to landslides at many places.

Heavy rains triggered multiple landslides and shooting stones incidents on the stretch in the Ramban district, reports said.

Scores of trucks carrying supplies to the valley were stuck on the highway between Jammu and Ramban.

Meanwhile, the weather is likely to improve from Wednesday across the most part so the valley, officials at MeT department said.

They said that at a few places light snowfall or rain may occur within 24 hours over.

“We are expecting the weather to improve from Wednesday that will continue until Saturday and from Monday it may be mostly cloudy,” They said.
