Former health minister and a Congress leader Shabir Khan accused of molesting a female medico, was on Friday produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Srinagar.
Khan was present during the entire hearing of case in the court of CJM V.S.Baho. The Court rejected the application seeking stay on proceedings.
Counsel defending Khan, Advocate Abdullah Pandith, Mushtaq Dar and Bilal Bhat argued that the charge sheet produced before the court by the police is not as per the law wherein on the complaint of the female medico, FIR was registered against Khan in police station Shaheed Gunj under section 354 and 509 RPC.
The counsel defending the complainant argued that the police charge sheeted Khan as per the law and that the cat was against the humanity and against the protocol of the minister. Court later scheduled the next date of hearing on May 26, 2014. (KNS)
