Under normal circumstances, if the crescent is seen in Saudi today, it essentially means it will be visible in South Asia a day later. This tradition has been going on for years.
If Eid is celebrated in the Middle East on Thursday, Kashmir will celebrate Eid on Friday, a day later. Usually, certain coastal areas in India, mostly the Kerela celebrate Eid with the Middle East.
