SRINAGAR: The Shehlat Foundation has extended educational support to 150 deserving students in Bandipora by distributing stationery kits worth Rs 80,000, as part of its efforts to promote inclusive education and assist students from economically weaker sections.
The stationery kits were formally handed over by Foundation Chairman Mohammad Rafiq Lone and Vice Chairman Ghulam Abbas (IIS), former Director of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), during a simple function held in Bandipora.
Another group of girl students received the stationery items from Nissar Ahmad Jan, the Foundation’s district representative for Bandipora and a respected former teacher.Foundation representatives said the initiative was aimed at ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent students from pursuing their education. They said the organisation remains committed to supporting underprivileged students with essential educational resources and creating equal opportunities for academic success.
Beneficiary students and their parents expressed gratitude to the Foundation for the timely assistance, describing the initiative as a meaningful contribution to the students’ educational journey.
The Shehlat Foundation has been working for the welfare of underprivileged sections of society through educational, social and humanitarian initiatives across Jammu and Kashmir.
