SRINAGAR: A 45-year-old shepherd died after accidentally slipping from a rugged mountain track and falling into a deep gorge in the Kal Jugasar area of Doda district, reports said.
The incident occurred near the shepherd’s temporary shelter at Lakabar Dhar, where he reportedly lost his footing while negotiating the mountainous track.
The man sustained critical injuries in the fall and died at the spot, according to reports.
He was identified as Mohammad Hussain, 45, son of Shaban Khanji, a resident of Lati Jar in Gandoh.
