Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has reiterated his demand for release of all detainees. He condemned the shifting of Shabir Ahmad Shah to Kotbalwal and slapping PSA on him.

Senior separatist leader and DFP chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah was yesterday shifted to Kot Balwal.

Meanwhile terming the shifting of Shabir Shah as an act of political revenge, National Front (NF) said that “the prisoner of conscience” can’t be made to change his political stand by such acts.

NF chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan is also undergoing detention from February 8, in the central jail Srinagar. Deputy chairman, of the party in a statement said, “The shifting of Shabir Shah and slapping infamous PSA on him is a gross violation of Supreme Court Ruling.”

It added that India can’t break the will of leaders like Shabir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan by putting them behind bars off and on.

“India has waged a war against the people of Kashmir since 1947, but after the hanging of Afzal Guru, a new and cruel policy is in place. The leadership is being put behind bars, the youth are being harassed, even our respected sisters are being arrested and common people are kept under siege,” the statement said.
