Srinagar: In a brief encounter in north Kashmir, two suspected militants were killed on Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, brief gun fight raged in Waripora area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district after a joint team of police and 21 RR acting on a tip-off cordoned the area.
The militants reports said opened fire on government forces and the two militants were killed in the retaliatory fire.
Police officials confirmed the death and said identities have not been ascertained yet.
