Shopian Killings: ‘Confession of Police an eye opener’

KL Report

SRINAGAR

Terming the police confession that the persons killed in Shopian were innocent as an eye opener for Indian civil society and world community, Hurriyat Conference (M) Tuesday appealed the international human rights organizations to pressurize India to stop the bloodshed of innocent Kashmiris and solve the Kashmir for once and all.

Hurriyat (M) has strongly denounced the government action of imposing curfew in Shopian. Expressing complete solidarity with the people, the conglomerate has paid tributes to the courage of inhabitants of Shopian.

“Resorting to often repeated dictatorial tactics, government once again put Chairman Mirwaiz Umar farooq under house arrest so as to sabotage the joint executive and general meeting of conglomerate called on Tuesday to discuss the Gagran killings, worsening rights situations, and tense relations between India and Pakistan,” the conglomerate said in a statement.

The spokesman said government by doing so has once again restricted the religious, political and social activity of Mirwaiz-e-Jammu and Kashmir.

Stressing Kashmir was being ruled by despots, he condemned the house arrest of Mirwaiz in strongest terms.
