A complete shutdown is being observed on a third consecutive day on Sunday in Shopian district to mourn the killing of a 22-year-old student during a shootout in Islamabad on Thursday.
Shakeeb Shabir, son of Shabir Ahmad Shah was killed when militants opened fire on the forces in Islamabad’s Laizbal area. In the shootout, Shakeeb was hit by a bullet and lost his life.
All the shops and business establishments are closed in the district while traffic is off from the roads.
