A complete shutdown is being observed on the fourth consecutive day on Tuesday in Shopian district against the recent civilian killings.
All shops, business establishments, government and private offices remained closed in the district while public and private transport were off the roads.
Two civilians, Javaid Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat of Balpora Shopian and Suhail Javaid Lone son of Javaid Ahmad Lone, were killed on January 27 after government forces opened fire on protesters in Ganowpora village of Shopian district.
