Srinagar

As re-poll is going to take place on Thursday on 38 polling stations of Srinagar parliamentary segment, joint separatist camp has called for the shutdown in poll-bound areas.

On Wednesday, in a statement issued by joint leaders urging people to boycott voting, they said that “state administration has turned poll bound areas into a military garrison but our people are brave enough and with their exemplary strength and resolve will once again reject these shame elections.”

“Re-polling is one more deceit being orchestrated by puppet regime and main motive behind re-polling in poll bound areas is to increase the voting percentage through rigging and by using bogus voters,” they said.

Commenting over the news published in local newspapers, the statement said that “leaders have called a public gathering in Budgam on April 14 and people while reaffirming their faith (Tajdeed-e-Uhad) with movement will offer their condolences with bereaved families of slain youth.”
