SRINAGAR: Sinthan Top, the mountain pass linking Kishtwar with Anantnag, witnessed fresh light snowfall early on Saturday, with temperatures falling in nearby areas, including Daksum and Kokernag, reports said.
Officials said the road was under surveillance and traffic continued to move smoothly, with no disruption reported so far.
The higher reaches of south Kashmir have been receiving intermittent light snowfall as winter approaches.
According to a forecast issued by Kashmir Weather, light to moderate rain showers are possible in parts of Jammu and Kashmir on October 24, while higher-altitude areas may experience snowfall.
