A girl died on Wednesday evening due to a heart attack after army caught hold of her brother at Ashmuji village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The deceased girl was Identified as Rifat Jan daughter of Abdul Hameed Rather of Mirpur Ashmuji village of Kulgam.
Local alleged that her brother was caught by army soldiers. As Rifat came to know that the army picked up her brother, she suffered a heart attack and lost her life.
“We are trying to ascertain the facts,” said a top police official.
Srinagar based Defense spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia while refuting the allegations said that Army did not thrash or pick up any youth.
