Unidentified persons on Wednesday late evening tried to set ablaze a Panchayat Ghar in Kanjiullar village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
As per locals, the fire was brought under control soon after the flames began emanating from the building. The building, they said, received minor damage.
Meanwhile, unknown persons attempted to torch a Panchayat Ghar at Kultreh village in Chadura area of Budgam district on Wednesday evening.
The fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot and doused the flames, an official said. “The building has suffered partial damage.”
Police has registered a case and taken up the investigation into the matter.
