Police Monday claimed that the day passed off peacefully and the situation remained under control. How ever it confirmed that curfew is in force for the third day in Valley.
“Curfew remained in force for the third day in major towns of the valley. The day so far passed off peacefully and the situation is under control. No untoward incident was reported from anywhere,” a police statement said on Monday.
It added that however, in stray incidents of stone pelting were reported in which two policemen got injured.
